there are two possibilities: #1- some people really live pretty disconected with the enviorenment around, how bad? you’ve seen one example above
and #2 (which personally I believe is way more likely in many cases) some people pretends to know not just to avoid eventual question that may make them feel uncomfortable (but all in all I’m no-one to judge and I strongly doubt there is a single being out there with the right to judge on others)
